Crosswinds ("the Game") is developed and published by OCTETO STUDIOS SpA ("Octeto Studios", "we", "our", or "us").
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you play Crosswinds, how that information is used, and your rights regarding your personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Crosswinds when distributed through Steam and any related services operated by Octeto Studios.
Please note that the Steam platform is operated by Valve Corporation, which has its own Privacy Policy governing information collected through Steam. We encourage you to review Valve's Privacy Policy separately.
2. Information We Collect
Crosswinds is primarily an offline single-player experience. We do not require you to create an account with Octeto Studios and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from players.
However, certain technical information may be collected automatically through third-party services used to improve the Game.
This may include:
Device and hardware information
Operating system version
Game version
Language and region settings
Gameplay events and anonymous usage statistics
Session duration
Performance metrics
Crash reports and diagnostic information (when enabled)
We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, postal address, payment information, or other directly identifying personal information through the Game itself.
3. Unity Analytics
Crosswinds uses Unity Analytics to better understand how players interact with the Game.
Unity Analytics may collect anonymous or pseudonymous information such as:
gameplay progression
feature usage
session statistics
device information
technical performance metrics
This information helps us improve gameplay balance, stability, performance, and future updates.

4. Crash Reporting
Crosswinds may use Unity Cloud Diagnostics (or a comparable diagnostic service) to automatically receive crash reports and technical error information.
Crash reports may include:
stack traces
hardware specifications
operating system version
graphics device information
memory usage
technical logs related to the crash
These reports are used exclusively for debugging and improving the stability of the Game.
5. Steam Services
When you purchase or play Crosswinds through Steam, Valve may process information including:
your Steam account
achievements
playtime
cloud save synchronization
friends features
platform services
These services are provided solely by Valve and are governed by Valve's own Privacy Policy.
6. How We Use Information
Any information available to Octeto Studios is used solely to:
improve gameplay
identify and fix software bugs
monitor game performance
analyze anonymous gameplay trends
develop future updates and improvements
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use collected information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent player information.
Information may be processed by trusted service providers acting on our behalf, including:
Unity Technologies (Analytics and Cloud Diagnostics)
Valve Corporation (Steam platform services)
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and applicable legal obligations.
8. Data Retention
We retain analytics and diagnostic information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
